About Me

Many of my friends blog, and I've thought about it for a long time. I couldn't decide on a topic. My area of expertise changes frequently. I'm fire, in the metaphorical-astrological-pagan sense. I get very excited about things (lots of spark), get bored after the challenge and newness fades (burn out), and then look for something new.

I'm almost 38 and am doing something that isn't new and that's typical for my mid-life age: I'm trying to figure out who I am. I've read enough Zen stuff to know that I'll never find the answer, and I intend to keep searching anyway. So far I've figured out some things that I don't want to burn up: homeschooling my kids, marriage, spirituality and loving nature, friendships, learning about human behavior and physiology, volunteering, and crafting. These are things I've done for many years, a pretty long list of fires that I've managed to keep going.

Maybe I can add blogging to the list.
